El Lissitzky's abstract art was influenced by Malevich in the pholosophy of Suprematism. Suprematism, with its radicalism, was to El Lissitzky the creative equivalent of an entirely new form of society. El Lissitzkky's influence was instrumental in the transition from planar Suprematism to volumetric Suprematism, creating axonometric projections, making three-dimensional models, designing objects, and producing the first Suprematist architectural project. Referring to an abstract art based upon the supremacy of pure artistic feeling rather than on visual depiction of objects, it is the interpretation of the beholder rather the definition of the society. El Lissitzky's abstract sketch allows me to create my own interpretations in 2D sketch forms and in 3D models. This is the beginning of my journey in interior design where, I learned, interpretation of shapes and material in space determines the architectural outcome.
