Supported by evidence that nature enhances human physical and mental health, the vision of the new NEXT office space reflects healthy and natural elements, organic shapes and, a flexible and employee-centered workplace.
With NEXT corporate's goals of being employee-center and strong employee retention rate, and the office location being in Denver, this new office is a place where employees of all generations can feel relaxed, supported and with a sense of control. The employees will now have a choice of how/when/where they work. Denver's mountains are the inspirations for this new office space, which supports the concept of a healthy workplace. Considering NEXT's main issues on how to break the public perception of its traditional roots with standard office furniture and single style of workstations, NEXT's goals of improving employee well-being, recruiting and retaining top talents, and increasing productivity are supported by Evidence Based Design when incorporating natural elements and a flexible work environment with varying work zones. This NEXT Denver office will have plenty of green natural plants to fill the space, abundance of natural sun light, and various flexible workstations to meet different employee's needs and working modes (learning, focusing, rejuvenating, collaborating). Contrast in surface texture is presented with hard/gray concrete floor/wall and soft/colorful acoustic material throughout the entire space.
Blue and green which have been proven by research to be soothing and healing colors for human eyes are the main color theme to represent sky and nature throughout the office.
Finally, NEXT's goal in maintaining transparency of information to staff and client is carried out with a transparent company logo and plenty of see-through glass walls within the office.
